Calls

The Calls Tab gives you direct control over your phone activity. It is organized into three sub-tabs: History, Dial, and Contacts.

History

A chronological log of all recent calls, showing each contact name or number, time, and a directional badge for screened, incoming, outgoing, missed, or spam calls.

Dial

A standard dialpad for placing calls to any number directly. Includes digits 0–9, *, and # for extensions or IVR codes, along with a delete button and a green button to call.

Contacts

All saved contacts sorted alphabetically. This page is where you control which contacts are whitelisted (to skip secretary screening) or blocked from every reaching you.

History

The History sub-tab provides a chronological log of all calls. Each entry shows the contact name or number, a directional badge indicating the call type, and a relative timestamp. Tap the info button on any row to view additional details for that call.

Caller Details

Info iconInfo icon

Tapping the info icon on any call history row opens a Caller Details sheet. It shows the contact avatar with a call-type badge, the contact name, the call type, and the exact date and time of the call.

Three actions are available directly from this sheet:

Call

Dials the contact immediately from the Calls tab.

Whitelist

Adds the contact to your whitelist so future calls from them bypass Secretary screening and reach you directly.

Block

Blocks the number so all future calls from it are rejected before reaching you or your Secretary.

Filter

Tapping the filter icon in the top-right corner opens a dropdown that lets you narrow the call log to a specific call type. The available filters are Screened, Incoming, Missed, Outgoing, and Spam.

Filter icon
Screened icon

Screened

Calls that were answered and handled by your Secretary on your behalf. These are screened before being relayed to you as a summary in the Inbox.

Incoming icon

Incoming

Calls that came through directly to you, such as from whitelisted contacts who bypass Secretary screening and reach you immediately.

Missed icon

Missed

Calls that were not answered by you or your Secretary. These are logged here so you can follow up at your convenience.

Outgoing icon

Outgoing

Calls that you initiated from this device. Filter to this type to review your outbound call activity.

Spam icon

Spam

Calls identified or flagged as spam. A badge count on this filter option indicates how many spam calls have been logged. Reviewing these helps keep your history clean.

The search bar at the top of the History sub-tab lets you quickly look up a specific call by typing a contact name or phone number. Results update as you type, narrowing the list to matching entries.

Dial

The Dial sub-tab provides a standard numeric dialpad for placing outgoing calls to any number directly. Tap the digits to enter a phone number, use the delete button to correct a digit, then press the green call button to connect.

Important

Only calls made through the in-app dialpad are logged in your History. Calls made outside the Secretary Agent app will not appear in your call history.

Contacts

The Contacts sub-tab lists all your saved contacts in alphabetical order. From here you can manage who is allowed to bypass your Secretary and reach you directly, and who is blocked from calling you entirely.

Whitelisting Contacts

Whitelisting a contact grants them direct access to you, bypassing your Secretary entirely. When a whitelisted contact calls, the call rings through to you immediately without being screened or intercepted.

To whitelist a contact, tap the whitelist button — the shield icon found in the top-right corner of the Contacts page. You can also whitelist directly from the Caller Details sheet when reviewing a call in your History.

Block / Whitelist by Number

Beside the whitelist button in the top-right corner of the Contacts page sits a second button for managing both blocking and whitelisting by phone number. Tapping it opens an Options sheet from the bottom of the screen.

The sheet presents two choices — Block or Whitelist. Selecting either one opens a popup where you can type in a specific phone number, then confirm the action with the corresponding button.
